Feed my Starving Children
A Christian non-profit founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children tackles world hunger by sending volunteer-packed, nutritious meals to nearly 70 countries, where they're used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and other building blocks of healthy communities. Last year FMSC produced 133 million meals, maintained its seventh consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator and spent 92% of total donations directly on feeding the hungry. Centers are open to working with students and schools.
Girls For Change is an organization started by a group of Naperville North High School swimmers. They raise funds to support projects in developing countries which benefit women and girls. This is an excellent example of how clubs and teams of all types can have a global impact.
Green Earth Institute is a nonprofit organization located in Naperville, Illinois. Its mission is to promote nutritional health and environmental sustainability. Using our organic farm as a demonstration and learning center, we grow healthful vegetables in an earth-friendly way and educate about nature,

Stuff for the Poor is a non-profit organization that collects and sells used clothing, shoes, bikes and light household items to cover tuition, textbook fees, room/board, and uniform costs for 105 orphans in villages of Uganda and Haiti. Stuff for the Poor is not located in Naperville but has worked with Naperville Schools on several occasions and will home into class to present. The founder is a survivor of the Rwandan Genocide.
Think Global Arts creates and organizes educational, cultural, and artistic enterprises to promote peace and understanding among people of different nations and ethnic backgrounds. They organize the annual Month of Peace which offers numerous opportunities for Naperville students think more deeply
